Equipment in a powder coating line

Pretreatment equipment: This is used to clean and prepare the surface of the object to be coated. Powder spray guns: These are used to apply the powder coating onto the surface of the object. The guns can be either manual or automated and work on the principle of electrostatic attraction. The powder particles are charged electrostatically, and the object to be coated is grounded, causing the powder to adhere to the surface .

Conveyor system: A conveyor system is used to transport the objects through the different stages of the powder coating line, from pretreatment to coating and curing. It ensures a continuous and efficient flow of parts through the process, reducing manual handling and increasing productivity. There are various types of conveyor systems, such as overhead conveyors or belt conveyors .

Curing oven: After the powder is applied, the objects are moved into a curing oven. The high temperature in the curing oven causes the powder to melt and flow, forming a smooth and durable coating. The curing process also ensures that the powder coating adheres properly to the surface and provides the desired properties such as hardness, gloss, and resistance to corrosion and abrasion .
