Qemtex targets global market, sets up powder coating factory in United Arab Emirates

Qemtex Chemical Holding has launched a new powder coatings plant in the United Arab Emirates, specifically in the Umm al Quwain Free Trade Zone, with the aim of targeting the global market. Here are the details:

Plant Capacity and Expansion

• The production capacity of the plant will be expanded in two phases. Initially, it has an annual output of 5,000 tons, and this is planned to be doubled to 10,000 tons during the second stage.

Market Allocation

• Qemtex plans to allocate at least 30% of its production to the UAE domestic market, while the remaining 70% is destined for export to various international markets including the GCC, MENA, EU, and US markets.

Investment and R&D

• The company has invested approximately $16 million in the project, which includes the construction of a state-of-the-art R&D center. This R&D center is designed to become one of the top three powder coatings research facilities in the region, focusing on developing innovative and environmentally friendly powder coating solutions.
